Setting TTY Properties - stty

The stty program is used to set (change) and print the current terminal line settings. Things like: parity, character size (in bits), handshaking, speed, and a whole bunch of other things. In terms of the ``console'', there really aren't to many options (other than sane, mentioned above) which are ever used. But if you are logged in over a serial line (for instance a modem connection), many of these options are very useful.
